Requiem ~ Cherubini

Cantoris’ first concert for the year, Requiem by Luigi Cherubini, will be a sublime start to its programme for 2017. The choir will be joined by a talented trio, of which includes its music director Thomas Nikora (pianio), Vivian Stephens (violin) and Lucy Gijsbers (cello) in a soaring performance of Anton Arensky’s Piano Trio No.1 in D minor, Op.32.

Rutter's Magnificat

Cantoris will be performing John Rutter's Magnificat, as well as Chris Artley's O magnum Mysterium and Morten Lauridsen's Sure on This Shining Night. The choir will be joined by Barbara Paterson (Soprano).

Madrigals

Come celebrate the start of Spring with Cantoris with a mid-week performance of Madrigals. The bright and delightful programme will be filled with favourite pieces from previous concerts, and a few new songs.

Handel's Coronation Anthems & Schubert's Mass No.2

Join Cantoris for it's last concert for the year. We will be performing in the historic St Mary of The Angels church, which reopened in April this year after being closed following the 6.5 magnitude Seddon quake that rocked Wellington in July 2013.
